Grant and Arlene Miller

Grant and Arlene Miller of Roy celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary for four days at Laketown Lodge in Bear Lake with 49 of their family members.

They were married on Aug. 23, 1950, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple.

He grew up in Weston, Idaho, and she in Clifton, Idaho. Most of their married life has been in Washington Terrace, Hooper and Roy.

He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad, retiring as yardmaster in 1991. He excelled in many sports, especially bowling and golfing.

Both have held many positions in ward and stake service SEmD he as Cub Scout leader, high priests group, Sunday School president and ward mission leader. She served in the Young Women's organization, as Primary president, ward and stake Relief Society president, and for 12 years as a social service volunteer with the Unwed Parent Program.

Together they served in the Atlanta Georgia LDS Temple Mission, the Washington D.C. LDS Temple Mission, a family history mission in the National Archives in Scotland and as stake missionaries.

They are the parents of Steven and Kathleen Hoellein, Lonnie and Ellen Jorgensen, Bradley and Lauryn Miller, Bryan Miller, Timothy and Karen Miller, and James and Angela Miller.

They have 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren
