Jimmie and Linda Chadbourne of Syracuse celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family in West Point.
They were married on Aug. 22, 1960, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.
They met at work on Freeport Center at Del Monte and worked together for more than five years. She then moved to Hill Air Force Base, where she held many positions for more than 25 years before retiring to spend more time with her grandchildren, gardening and multiple church positions.
He spent his entire career at Del Monte in addition to running his own repair shop in Syracuse for many years with his father. He was also on the Syracuse volunteer fire department for 20 years. Their children and their spouses are Cindy and Steve Zobrosky, Sue Nelson, and Sean and Sherry Chadbourne. They have seven grandchildren and are looking forward to having great-grandchildren.
