Charles and Reba Allen

Charles and Reba Allen of Washington Terrace celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Mount Ogden Grill.

They were married on Sept. 1, 1950, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ogden.

He was born and raised in Bellevue, Ky., the son of Charles and Blanche Allen. He joined the U.S. Air Force as a young man.

She was born in Maysville, Okla., the daughter of Cole and Pernie Amos. She moved to Ogden as a young girl.

They met while he was stationed at Hill Air Force Base. They lived in many states and many countries throughout the world.

He retired after 22 years. He enjoys golf, and she enjoys gardening. They especially enjoy "roughing it" at East Canyon with their entire family.

They have one son: Mark and Holly Allen, Washington Terrace.

They also have three grandchildren: Amy and Mike Hadley, Jason and Aubrey Allen, and Mandy and Jake Tobin. Their three great-grandsons are Ryker Allen, Kade Hadley and Asher Allen.
