Robert and Sandra Callister of Ogden will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner and open house hosted by their children on Sept. 11.
They were married on Sept. 8, 1960, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.
He graduated from Delta High School and Weber State University. He worked for Morton Thiokol and was assistant manager for the WSU bookstore. He worked for Asael Farr and Sons as plant manager before retiring with 27 years of service. He served an LDS mission to the Gulf States. He has served in many leadership positions at the ward and stake levels, including bishop of the Washington Terrace LDS 3rd Ward.
She graduated from Bear River High School. She worked for First Security Bank and for the Internal Revenue Service for 18 years. She has also held many leadership positions at the ward and stake levels.
Their children are Shawn Callister, Troy Callister, Ryan and Jillene Callister, Jason and Jennifer Callister, and Stefanie and Justen Bonham.
They have seven grandchildren.
