LAYTON — An Arizona man got a rude awakening early Saturday morning when he crashed on Interstate 15.
Cody Boone, 18, was traveling south on I-15 when he “might have fallen asleep” at the wheel shortly before 3:30 a.m., said Layton Fire Battalion Chief Lonnie Adams. His vehicle crashed into the center median near Layton Parkway.
“He remembers driving ... (and the) next thing he knew, he was running into the median,” Adams said.
Boone was walking around when emergency responders arrived. He did not appear to suffer any serious injuries and declined going to the hospital, Adams said
