SALT LAKE CITY -- Authorities are accusing a 28-year-old Salt Lake City man of assaulting his live-in girlfriend and holding her against her will for 13 days.

CLINTON — Colin Wheeler was charged with mayhem Wednesday in 2nd District Court in Farmington after police say he bit off part of a man’s ear and spit on an officer.

FARMINGTON -- Mark Anthony Ott's attorneys have filed a motion to withdraw all of his guilty pleas dealing with a fire that burned his ex-wife's home, the stabbings of her friend and daughter, and the death of 6-year-old Lacey Paige Lawrence.

Ott appeared in 2nd District Court on Monday with his attorneys, Elizabeth Hunt and Rich Gallegos. Before the hearing, his attorneys, along with Davis County Attorney Troy Rawlings met with Judge Michael G. Allphin in his chambers for about 15 minutes.

OGDEN — An Ogden man was charged Thursday with aggravated burglary and assault, first- and second-degree felonies respectively.

FARMINGTON -- The parents of 6-year-old Lacey Paige Lawrence were visibly upset outside of the courtroom Wednesday after Mark Anthony Ott requested to withdraw all of his guilty pleas to charges, including murder, in connection with the first-grader's death.

"I don't think this is quite right," said Terri Cook, Lacey's mother.

"He is taking zero accountability for what he did," said Allen Lawrence, Lacey's father.

OGDEN -- Initial charges have been filed in an assault case that began as a texting battle in Roy this week. The texting taunts led to a Roy man firing gunshots into the air when the texters turned up on his property, according to police.
