LAVA HOT SPRINGS, Idaho — A Willard man died Wednesday after he was thrown from a four-wheeler near Lava Hot Springs.
Steven E. Toone, 69, was driving on an ATV Wednesday around 10:45 p.m. northbound on Smith Canyon Road, approximately three to four miles south of Dempsey Creek Road.
Idaho State Police said Toone lost control of the ATV on the slick, snow-covered road. The ATV rolled over, and Toone was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
