FARMINGTON — A Centerville man who police said was involved in numerous vehicle burglaries in order to get money to go to Lagoon has been sentenced to serve six months in jail.

OGDEN -- Police are looking for a stolen vehicle that belongs to Riverdale city.

The white Jeep Cherokee was parked in the city employee's driveway near 700 E. 4750 South on Thursday afternoon. While he was at lunch between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., he believes someone stole the city-owned Jeep, said Ogden Police Lt. Tony Fox.

FARMINGTON -- A man who Layton police said swung a knife at a couple that caught him breaking into their car did not appear in court.

OGDEN -- A 26-year-old man was arrested after police say he led them on a short chase while driving a stolen vehicle.

Tony Garcia was booked into Weber County Jail on suspicion of denied license, avoiding apprehension, evading, possession of a stolen vehicle, accident involving property damage and possession of marijuana.

Lt. Danielle Croyle said a 1994 Blazer was reported stolen from the 2000 block of Harrison Boulevard just after 6 a.m. Monday. Patrol officers spotted the Blazer driving near 24th Street and Monroe Avenue around 11 p.m.

LAYTON -- Police are seeking a man who swung a knife at a couple that caught him breaking into their car.

Police are searching for Raymond Joseph Emmett, 32. He is described as a Hispanic male, wearing prescription eyeglasses, with a mustache and goatee. He also has a circular tattoo that reads "STW" on the right side of his neck. He is believed to be armed and dangerous, police said.

LAYTON -- A suspect in an armed carjacking is in custody and his partner is at large. Layton Police Department arrested Andrew Brigman, 21, Layton, on Saturday following the theft of a 1998 black Subaru Forrester at TCBY Yogurt, 701 Main St.
