ST. GEORGE -- A Utah man arrested last week along with 10 others and charged with bank fraud and illegal gambling has appeared in federal court.
A federal judge on Monday ordered John Campos to surrender his passport and appear as ordered in New York for his next court appearance. A date had not yet been set.
Campos, part owner of SunFirst Bank, a small, private bank based in St. George, did not yet enter a plea.
A message left for his attorney on Monday wasn't immediately returned.
Arrests also occurred around the country last week.
Prosecutors allege the defendants operated overseas poker companies to generate billions of dollars in illegal gambling profits.
