Heavy precipitation forces temporary closure of Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge road

BRIGHAM CITY — The auto tour route at Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge has been temporarily closed to all visitors because heavy precipitation has created dangerous road conditions.

Closure signs are posted at the entrance to the route 12 miles west of Interstate 15 at Forest Street (Exit 363).

The loop will reopen when conditions are deemed safe.

Be aware there may be additional road closures if safety issues arise. Refuge staff will be monitoring conditions and evaluating roads for public safety.

For updates, visit the refuge website at http://bearriver.fws.gov or call 435-734-6425.
