Donna V. Flint
Donna V. Flint celebrated her 90th birthday on March 24 with a family dinner at the Maddox Ranch House Restaurant.
She was born March 24, 1921, to Raymond and Leora Yeaman in Ogden. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1939. She worked for many years as a teletype operator in communications at Hill Air Force Base, and also in budget and accounting. She retired after 27 years of service.
She married Ellis V. Flint in 1964. They moved to Portage in 1972. She still lives there and maintains her home and yard, and is now the oldest person in Portage. She belongs to a group of ladies called "Purple Ladies of Portage," who meet to crochet, talk and laugh.
She had two children from a previous marriage and helped raise her husband's four children. They are Scott and Terri Moss, Carla and John Barton, Varjean and Gary Balls, Bart Flint, Bret and Venna Flint, and Blaine and Kisty Flint. She has 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
