Helen Boman Cragun of Washington Terrace will celebrate her 80th birthday. Her children will honor her at a family birthday celebration next week.
She was born June 20, 1931, to Robert Webster Boman and Odessie Hendricks Boman in Lewiston, where she and her twin sister, Eloise Stocks, were the babies of the family.
She graduated from North Cache High School in Richmond, where she was the Girls League president. After graduating from high school and LDS Seminary, she was employed by Lewiston State Bank. She married another North Cache graduate, Marion Calvin Cragun Jr. of Smithfield in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple.
She has lived in Lewiston, Ogden and Moab, and for the past 53 years in Washington Terrace.
She has served in many positions in the Washington Terrace LDS 4th Ward: Primary president, Relief Society president and Washington Terrace Stake Mutual Improvement Association president. She retired from Weber County School District.
She has enjoyed golfing with friends and attending many activities that involved her children and grandchildren. Daily phone calls from her twin sister are still a highlight of her day.
Her four children and spouses are Carol and Brian Johnson, Hooper; Kim and Jan Cragun, Ephraim; Cathy and Bob Wagner, Kent, Wash.; and Ferris and Carolyn Yazzie, South Jordan.
She has 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
