Authorities release 911 call from Pine View Reservoir death

OGDEN — Authorities have released a 911 call from a man who attempted to save Esther Fujimoto, who died after she was struck by a boat Aug. 21 while swimming in Pine View Reservoir.

In the tape, Donald Vaughn Anderson pleads with a dispatcher for help in trying to keep Fujimoto alive.

Skyler Shepherd, 22, Colton Raines, 22, and Robert Cole Boyer, 29, are charged with class A misdemeanor obstruction of justice charge in the boating incident. Raines and Shepherd also are charged with class A misdemeanor reckless endangerment and class B misdemeanor failure to render aid.

OGDEN -- The Weber County Sheriff's Office isn't planning to increase patrols over the long Labor Day weekend at Pineview Reservoir, where a swimmer was struck and killed by a boat last month.
