Instead, he’ll be attending school in Magadan, Russia, where he’s hoping to learn both a language and a lifestyle. “It’s definitely going to be a culture shock,” he said.

Bonneville’s spread offense rolls over Ogden

OGDEN — If not for three fourth-down incompletions, the Lakers possibly could have rang up 50 points in their season opener.

The Tyler Gladwell era at Bonneville High School got off to a raucous start Friday with senior running back Colbie Bedford scoring two touchdowns, and first-year senior cornerback Casey Black snagging two interceptions in the Lakers’ 34-0 non-league victory over Ogden High at Maurice Conroy Field.

The Tigers have dropped five straight games dating back to last season, including back-to-back shutouts, and three total whitewashes.

Bonneville scored on two of its first three possessions.

His time of 4:09.67 narrowly missed the overall state mile record of 4:09.28 and lowered the 5-A record by roughly 4 seconds.
