Daybreak sold 375 houses in 2009

SOUTH JORDAN — Kennecott’s Daybreak community ranked sixth for 2009 home sales among leading U.S. planned communities, according to a Washington, D.C.-based real-estate firm.

Kennecott Land, the real-estate sister company of Kennecott Utah Copper Corp., says builders sold 375 homes at Daybreak in the Salt Lake City suburb of South Jordan.

Daybreak offers houses with traditional porches, garages on back alleys, pocket parks, lots of trails and wide-open surrounding spaces. The houses start around $200,000; studio condos at $130,000.
