Lagoon plans to open Saturday for 2010 season

FARMINGTON -- Lagoon will open its doors Saturday, weather and other factors permitting.

The Farmington amusement park is scheduled to open at 10 a.m. on Saturday to kick off its 2010 season.

"Lagoon has been thrilling Utah families since 1886 and will open its gates for another season of fun," Lagoon Vice-President of Marketing Dick Andrew said.

Lagoon boasts 49 rides and attractions, along with games, food, fun and gifts, Andrew said.

The park is opened weekends from April 3 through May 31, with the park opening daily beginning June 5.

Frightmares, a Halloween-themed event that includes rides and haunted attractions, is to begin Sept. 24.
