OGDEN -- Two home improvement outlet stores are scheduled to open next month at The Junction development downtown.
Pro Tools Clearance Outlets at 2363 Kiesel Ave. and Black & Decker Clearance Outlet, 2367 Kiesel Ave., will open their doors on Dec. 3.
The stores will each lease about 3,500 square feet of space from The Boyer Company, which owns The Junction.
Pro Tools will sell a variety of products, including hand tools, power tools, faucets, door locks, drill presses, planers and saws.
It will offer a variety of brands, including DeWalt, Stanley, Porter Cable and Delta. The store will employ about four workers in Ogden and has operations in Leeds, Ala., and Burbank, Ohio, said Kamie Geiger, a senior project coordinator for the city.
Black & Decker Clearance Outlet, a national chain that has been in operation for 20 years, will sell a variety of consumer products, including power tools, lawn and garden equipment and home appliances. The store will also have about four employees.
Richard McCon-kie, the city's community and economic development director, said that both Pro Tools and Black & Decker will be excellent additions to The Junction.
Jake Boyer, president of The Boyer Company said he is excited to have both companies at The Junction.
"This will offer Ogden city a wonderful offering of respected brands in a cost-effective manner in a convenient location," he said in a prepared statement.
