OGDEN -- Weber State University will hold its second annual Intermountain Recycling and Sustainability Summit on Friday.
Gov. Gary R. Herbert will be keynote speaker for the event, scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Shepherd Union Building. His address, "Balancing Economic Growth and Sustainability," will be at 9 a.m. in Ballroom A.
Ogden Mayor Matthew Godfrey will address the summit at 1 p.m. The day will conclude with an open meeting of the Utah Recycling Alliance.
Admission for the general public is $15. Businesses can buy a $100 sponsoring registrations, which includes three registrations. The cost includes breakfast and lunch, and membership in the Utah Recycling Alliance. Students may attend the summit for free, but need to register in advance. Students who want lunch need to pay $10.
