SALT LAKE CITY - The 2011 Utah "Life Elevated®" Scenic Calendar has been honored with 13 awards in the National and World Calendar Awards competition hosted by the Calendar Marketing Association.
Now in its 39th year, the Utah Office of Tourism's annual publication highlights many of Utah's iconic destinations, outdoor activities, and events through its stunning photography and award-winning graphic design. The calendar also features a greeting by Gov. Gary R. Herbert.
"Thirteen awards is the most we have ever won, and in such diverse categories," said Leigh von der Esch managing director of Utah Office of Tourism, part of the Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED). "It's a testament to detail that each member of our team puts into this project, whether it is the photography, design, text, or print quality."
"The team has created a world-class calendar that not only promotes our destinations to visitors, but also makes a great marketing tool for business recruitment," said Spencer Eccles, executive director of GOED.
Graphic artist Scott Hardy, who has worked on the state's scenic calendars for the past 25 years, once again designed this year's calendar. Twenty-thousand copies were printed by Rastar in West Valley City.
