OGDEN - Ben Lomond Suites, a historic boutique hotel, is reclaiming its prior sophistication, elegance and community focus many remember from their youth.
The re-emerging gem is Utah's first hotel to unite with the Ascend Collection from Choice Hotels International, recently completed a two million-dollar renovation, and MacCool's Public House restaurant has recently opened a new location in the hotel. An open house reveal and ribbon cutting ceremony will commemorate the milestones on Friday, June 3, from 11 to 1 p.m.
"As one of Utah's most historic hotels, we are committed to providing our guests with the highest level luxury and service," said Blake Citte, general manager of Ben Lomond Suites. "We invite the community to step into our hotel and promise the ornate details and recent enhancements will evoke treasured memories."
Ben Lomond Suites has joined the Ascend Collection from Choice Hotels International. The network is comprised of historic, boutique or unique hotels in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. The hotel will gain marketing support and visibility from an international network. The Hotel provides affordable lodging with rich upscale amenities, history and authentic charm.
Since 2009 the hotel has completed a two million-dollar renovation. In March, MacCool's, an Irish pub-style family restaurant, renovated the southeast corner space on the first floor of the hotel. Hotel improvements will continue for the next two years.
The community is invited to celebrate the occasion during an open house from 11 to 1 p.m.
Tours of the hotel will be given and a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m. will mark MacCool's official grand opening. During the celebration, Ben Lomond Suites and MacCool's will give away a grand prize, weekend getaway including a two-night stay, dinner and breakfast at MacCool's and Raptors baseball tickets. Additional prizes will include a chance to win a one-night getaway or lamb ribs for a year.
