4 arrested in Utah for alleged music, video piracy

SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah authorities say they've arrested four men for an alleged video and music piracy operation worth more than $70,000.

The Utah Attorney General's SECURE Strike Force made the arrests this week at two homes in West Valley City.

Officers seized more than 5,000 counterfeit movie and music discs.

Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff says strike force members dismantled a large, multi-state piracy operation.

Also confiscated were fake identification cards. All four men are believed to be in the United States illegally.

Strike force agents worked in conjunction with the Recording Industry Association of America, the FBI, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Utah Department of Public Safety and Park City police.
