SALT LAKE CITY -- The Bureau of Land Management says visitors at the Bonneville Salt Flats are welcome to use fireworks to celebrate the Fourth of July under certain conditions.
The BLM says it's making an exception to its fireworks ban in Utah's West Desert District. An area along the access road of the Salt Flats will be open for certain fireworks that are legal in the state of Utah. The exception is for Monday, July 4 only.
The BLM says it will patrol the area and provide a trash bin at the end of the access road where visitors can dispose of their own garbage.
