FARR WEST — Five passengers walked away in good condition Friday after a serious crash with a semitrailer.

MARRIOTT-SLATERVILLE — A 19-year-old man felt fortunate to be unhurt late Friday after flipping his car in a crash.

Crash closes part of Interstate 15

LAYTON — A rollover accident Friday afternoon involving hazardous materials closed southbound Interstate 15 near the Layton Parkway exit and stopped FrontRunner service.

One person sustained minor injuries in a four-vehicle crash at 10:55 a.m. Friday at 1100 Washington Blvd. in Ogden. A 64-year-old woman driving a 2000 Saturn heading south rear-ended a 2007 Honda Accord that had stopped. The Honda then struck the rear of a 2007 Jeep, which in turn struck the rear of a 2007 Hummer, says Ogden Police Lt. Will Cragun. The names of those involved in the crash were not released. The Saturn and Honda sustained significant damage. The driver of the Saturn sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment. She was cited for following too closely, says Cragun.
