CDBG funds to be used on facade

FARMINGTON -- City leaders have approved an agreement with Davis County to use community development block grant (CDBG) funds to improve the facade of a historic building downtown.

The city council voted unanimously to approve the accord with the county to use $20,000 of CDBG funding to remove a metal facade on the Sessions building located at the northeast corner of State and Main streets and to restore the brick work where practical.

CDBG money going to emergency food, housing assistance programs

Clearfield designates its CDBG funds

The city is dedicating the largest chunk of its almost $210,000 in community development block grant funds for an infrastructure project on 100 North.

A copy of the 2011 to 2012 plan was available to residents from March 23 to April 21 but it drew no comments. The city council recently approved a one-year action plan for how grant funds funds will be spent.
