75th ABW, OO-ALC command chief arrives

OO-ALC chief of staff retires

After 33 years in a career of federal service, the chief of staff for the Ogden Air Logistics Center retired at the Hill Aerospace Museum, Jan. 29. Aksel Aydoner began his service in 1976 with the Air Force and later became an operations and research analyst and mathematical statistician as a civilian in the Engineering Division at the OO-ALC. Eventually assigned to his current position, he served under the direction of the two previous commanders of the OO-ALC, and Maj. Gen. Andrew Busch, current OO-ALC commander.

75th ABW welcomes new wing chaplain

"What I told the congregation Sunday is 'No. 1, I love Jesus Christ,'" the new 75th Air Base Wing Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Kenneth Crooks recalled about his introductory sermon on Jan. 17 at Hill Air Force Base.

"I am a Christian. That is a part of me, I can't deny that. The other thing I told them is I understand there are differences (among religions) and there are some things we cannot do together, but there are a lot of things that we can do together.

Ceremony marks SES promotion and new director for OO-ALC Engineering Directorate

Angie Tymofichuk was promoted to Senior Executive Service rank and assumed leadership of the Engineering Directorate here at a ceremony Jan. 7 held at the Hill Aerospace Museum Fighter Gallery.

Tymofichuk recently served as chief of the 309th Maintenance Wing Engineering and Technical Management office at the base and, prior to that, director of engineering for the 84th Combat Sustainment Wing.

Ogden Air Logistics Center Executive Director Mark Johnson presided over last week's ceremony and noted this promotion was the third of its kind for Hill AFB.

SARC office gets new deputy, new location

There have been some changes at the 75th Air Base Wing Sexual Assault Response Coordinator's office -- it now has a new deputy SARC and a new location.

What was once the 388th Fighter Wing Distributed Mission Operations center in Building 118, on "E" Avenue, is now home to the SARC team, comprised of Janaee Stone, SARC, and 2nd Lt. Julianne Douglas, the new deputy SARC.

Douglas has filled this special-duty position since Nov. 16 and is "on loan" from the 75th Force Support Squadron Military Personnel Section to serve in the deputy SARC position.

Hill's command chief to see new assignment in new year

Last Friday, Team Hill held a farewell ceremony at the Junior Enlisted Center for its command chief, Chief Master Sgt. Kevin Candler, who will begin the new year at Royal Air Force Alconbury, England.

Candler arrived at Hill Air Force Base in May of 2008 to serve as the command chief for the Ogden Air Logistics Center and the 75th Air Base Wing, bringing his enthusiasm and pride in serving the U.S.

New AFMC command chief named

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB, Ohio -- Air Force officials have announced that Chief Master Sergeant Eric R. Jaren will become the new command chief of Air Force Materiel Command.

Jaren comes to Headquarters AFMC from Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., where he had served as the command chief for the Air Force Flight Test Center and 95th Air Base Wing since August 2008. He becomes the eighth AFMC command chief since the command was activated in 1992.

"I am truly honored to be chosen for this important job," Jaren said.

President nominates Wolfenbarger as AFMC vice commander

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- The president has nominated Maj. Gen. Janet C. Wolfenbarger, director of the Intelligence and Requirements Directorate at Air Force Materiel Command, for confirmation by the Senate to the rank of lieutenant general with assignment to the position of AFMC vice commander.

As vice commander of AFMC, she will be responsible for providing acquisition management and logistics support for a variety of Air Force aircraft and weapon systems.
