OGDEN -- Officials say volunteers are especially needed Friday and Monday at the Joyce Hansen Hall Food Bank at Catholic Community Services, 2504 F Ave., in Ogden.
The agency is distributing holiday food boxes and expects about 300 clients on those days. Normally, the food bank handles about 100 clients in a day.
Thanksgiving holiday food distribution starts today and runs again Friday, Monday and Tuesday.
Christmas holiday distribution is 7 a.m.- 4 p.m. Dec. 16, 17, 20 and 21.
Volunteers will help with a variety of tasks. The food bank also is holding service projects and donation drives for holiday foods, hygiene and diapers throughout November and December. Monetary donations always are welcome.
