FARMINGTON — A four-hour yard sale, with 170 bikes made available by area law enforcement agencies, generated close to $6,000 Saturday for the Davis County Children’s Justice Center in Farmington.
The money will be used to buy food and snacks for the child victims interviewed at the center, as well as provide special forensic training for area investigators, Davis County Children’s Justice Center Director Tayna Perkins said.
Also, the funds generated by this year’s yard sale, held this time annually, totaled “a few hundred dollars more” than last year’s event, with money still coming in, said Perkins, who anticipated having a total dollar amount in a couple of days.
