Pair of longtime Bountiful employees retire

Two longtime city employees who are retiring were honored recently by the city council.

The council honored Sgt. Scott Isakson of the Bountiful Police Department for 37 years of service and also honored retiring Water Department Superintendent Dave Wilding, who stepped down after 24 years as the head of the water department, during a council meeting.

Mark Slagowski will now head the water department.

City Manager Tom Hardy praised both workers saying it is hard to lose people who have given so much to the city.
