Plain City cleanup day announced

PLAIN CITY -- The City Spring Clean Up Day will be held on Saturday, May 4.

PLAIN CITY -- Councilman Joel Maw recently requested suggestions for projects from the community for a city cleanup day, to be held May 1.

Any residents with cleanup ideas are encouraged to contact city offices at 801-731-4908.

ROY — Hundreds of Roy youths spent Saturday morning sprucing up the city.

All welcome to help with Roy cleanup Saturday

ROY — The community is invited to participate from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday in a neighborhood cleanup day sponsored by Habitat for Humanity Weber and Davis Counties.

Those who wish to participate are asked to meet at 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of 5800 South and 2600 West in Roy.

The cleanup will be in the neighborhood bordered by 5600 South to the north and 6000 South to the south, the railroad tracks to the east and the trail to the west.

Those who participate will be helping with yard care projects and hauling away yard waste and other unwanted items.

Roy plans three clean-up days

ROY -- The city is starting the first of three clean-up days Saturday.

Residents living within the city limits on the north to 4800 South and from the city limits east to west are invited to assist friends and neighbors who may need extra help, or to contact city or local religious leaders to get directions on where the biggest cleanups will be.

City cemetery schedules cleanup

The Ogden City Cemetery crew will begin clean up of all holiday and floral arrangements on Monday. Patrons are encouraged to pick up all their flowers and grave decorations before that date.

Remembrances can be placed back on the graves after March 28. For more information, call the cemetery office at 801-629-8231.

Spring cleanup starts at cemetery

The annual spring cleanup at Brigham City Cemetery will begin on March 28. All flowers and decorations not in permanent containers and those in such containers that are wilted, damaged or faded will be removed. All Christmas decorations (including poinsettias) will be removed.

When the cleanup sweep is done all decorations that are removed are taken to the county landfill for disposal. Those wishing to reclaim their decorations are encouraged to do so before the cleanup begins.

Volunteers needed for cleanup day

Spring cleanup day will be May 7. Councilwoman LaFray Kelley said the city is looking for cleanup ideas and volunteers. Those interested or with ideas can contact the city offices at 801-731-4908.
