Weber sheriff seeks more from cities office serves

OGDEN -- Officials in eight Weber County cities have until March 31 to decide if they will pay more to the Weber County Sheriff's Office for police services or find an alternative.

The cities without their own police departments are Farr West, Hooper, Huntsville, Marriott-Slaterville, Plain City, Uintah, Washington Terrace and West Haven. The sheriff's office also serves unincorporated areas of Weber County.

Mild winter to bring early mosquitoes

MORGAN — When the Morgan County Council approved new voting district boundaries by a narrow vote, the five voting districts were relatively equal, each with between 1,064 voters and 1,086 voters.

FARMINGTON -- Former Davis County Commissioner Carol R. Page's eyes widened with excitement Friday as she toured the new $1.6 million Children's Justice Center.

Davis to invest $3.7M as property rights to part of complex go to state

FARMINGTON -- It's a real estate deal 21 years in the making.

Because of a 21-year-old renewable contract, Davis County will give property rights to a portion of the Criminal Justice Court complex in Farmington to the state in exchange for $3.7 million, which will be reinvested in other county infrastructure.
