Missing door complicates closed meetings for Davis commission

FARMINGTON — The inability to close both glass doors on the Davis County Commission Chambers in the new county administrative office building has forced the commission to move its closed meetings down the hall to another room.

For about a month, one half of the two-door access to the commission chambers has been missing.

Commissioner retires after almost 40 years of public service

OGDEN — Little remained in Craig Dearden’s office on the third floor of the Weber Center.

$2 Million granted for massive extension of Monroe Blvd.

NORTH OGDEN — The city will receive more than $2 million through a grant from Weber County to extend Monroe Boulevard from 1500 North to 3100 North.

The money comes from the county’s local Transportation Corridor Fund and had to be approved by the Weber Area Council of Governments.

Davis County adds 12th public defender

FARMINGTON — In response to the indigent and juvenile caseload, Davis County has added another public defender to its staff for the 2013 calendar year.

The addition of Erin Hill brings the number of public defenders having contracts with the county to 12.
