CLEARFIELD -- Police booked a Clearfield man on several counts of sexual exploitation of a minor after finding child pornography where he lived.

Brandon Garrett, 54, was booked in the Davis County Jail on Wednesday on 15 second-degree felonies after Clearfield police received a tip about child pornography stored on his computer, said Detective Kyle Jeffries.

Garrett, who lived in an assisted living residence, uses a wheelchair for mobility, Jeffries said.

Workers at the residence found the pornography in Garrett's room and called police, Jeffries said. Police are not releasing the name of the residence.

"We talked with him, then seized his computers and DVDs," Jeffries said.

Jeffries said the computer, CDs, and DVDs have been sent to the state computer lab to be forensically searched.

"We don't how it got there, how long it has been there or where it came from," Jeffries said.

The Davis County Attorney's Office is screening the case and could file formal charges on Friday in 2nd District Court.

Depending on what is found on the computer the Attorney General's Office may also file charges, Jeffries said.
