FARMINGTON -- Stephanie Sloop appeared in court on Monday and waived her right to a speedy trial.
Sloop, 28, appeared before Judge Michael G. Allphin in 2nd District Court in Farmington for a status conference hearing. Allphin set Sloop's next day in court for June 27 at 11 a.m. for a roll call.
Sloop and her husband, Nathan, are each charged with aggravated murder, second-degree felony child abuse, second-degree felony obstruction of justice and third-degree felony abuse or desecration of a body in connection with the death of 4-year-old Ethan Stacy, Stephanie Sloop's son.
Stephanie Sloop was scheduled to begin her preliminary hearing on Feb. 9. That date was cancelled.
Nathan Sloop, 32, appeared in court on Friday and also had his case continued. He will be in court on the same date and time as Stephanie Sloop also for a roll call.
