FARMINGTON -- A hearing for oral arguments in the case against Nathanael and Stephanie Sloop has been canceled.
"Both the state and defense attorneys have stipulated that the hearing is no longer necessary at this time," said Nancy Volmer, spokeswoman with the Administrative Office of the Courts.
Attorneys had planned to argue today in 2nd District Court what testimony from Dr. Rob Pramann, a therapist, would be admissible.
Nathanael and Stephanie Sloop, of Layton, are both charged with aggravated murder in connection with the death of Stephanie Sloop's son, 4-year-old Ethan Stacy, whose disfigured body was found near Powder Mountain on May 11, 2010.
Attorneys plan to file a stipulation that they have resolved the issue, Volmer said.
