FARMINGTON -- Three family members charged for stealing thousands of dollars of merchandise from Lifetime Products, Inc., appeared in court.
Daniel Anthony Dominguez, Jr., 31, pleaded not guilty to second-degree theft in 2nd District Court in Farmington on Tuesday.
Clearfield police had arrested his wife, Alisha Marie Dominguez, 30, of Ogden, and his mother-in-law, Marie Teresa Yanez, 46, of Clearfield, on Sept. 14.
Daniel Dominguez turned himself in to Ogden police the following week, said Clearfield Assistant Police Chief Greg Krusi.
Alisha Dominguez pleaded not guilty to second-degree theft on Oct. 13. Yanez pleaded not guilty to second-degree theft on Oct. 27.
Both women appeared in 2nd District Court on Tuesday, as did Daniel Dominguez.
A pretrial conference for all three is set for Dec. 15.
Police said the three sold stolen Lifetime Products merchandise, such as storage sheds, basketball hoops, swing sets and tables.
Alisha Dominguez worked in the company's warranty department. The stolen items were listed on Internet want ads at a reduced price, police said.
One of the three would meet the buyer and collect cash upfront for items before the items were shipped.
Alisha Dominguez would then place a warranty request to have the product shipped to the buyer's address on the form.
