Man arrested in Ogden stabbing

OGDEN -- A Brigham City man was arrested in Ogden early Saturday morning after police say he stabbed a man in the leg at a party after an argument erupted.

Eusevio Leyva, 31, was booked into Weber County Jail for suspicion of aggravated assault after a man told police Leyva stabbed him at a party.

The victim was found by police around 12:30 a.m. Saturday. He was walking with a visible limp near the 400 block of 27th Street, said Lt. Scott Sangberg.

He told police he had a 1 1/2-inch wound in his upper left hamstring.

He told police he had been stabbed by a Hispanic man, described as in his mid-20s, bald and with a goatee.

Police went to a home in the 2700 block of Grant Avenue, where the man told them he had been stabbed.

Sangberg said they found several men at the home who matched the description from the victim, who identified Leyva as the attacker.
