Police seek suspects in Ogden restaurant robbery

OGDEN -- Police are looking for three men who robbed an Ogden Mexican restaurant on Tuesday night.

The men entered Antonio's Mexican Food at 633 Washington Blvd. around 9:30 p.m., each displaying a handgun, said Police Lt. Scott Sangberg.

According to police, two men are described as Hispanic males, approximately 18 to 20 years old. The other man is described as a black male between 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall. All were wearing blue jeans and black hoodies.

One of the suspects jumped over the counter and emptied the register for an unspecified amount of cash while the other two detained employees. No customers were inside the business at the time and no shots were fired, Sangberg said.

The men left on foot and have not been found. A police dog followed the suspects' scent to an apartment complex at 550 Grant Ave., but police were unable to locate the men.

Sangberg said the suspects possibly fled by car from there. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Weber Area Consolidated Dispatch at (801) 629-8221.
