January pornography investigation nets 14 arrests

SALT LAKE CITY -- The Utah attorney general's office says a monthlong child pornography investigation by an Internet crime task force has resulted in the arrest of 14 people.

January's "Operation Frostbite" was funded through a donation from Operation Kids, a national child protection organization.

Attorney General Mark Shurtleff says that in addition to the arrests, 25 other people were interviewed. Search warrants were served on six homes and for 10 computers.

Investigators confiscated 35 computers and external hard-drives along with three cell phones and more than 100 CDs which contained tens of thousands of child pornography images and movies.

Investigators served warrants in four Wasatch Front counties.
