Man arrested for Clearfield robberies

CLEARFIELD — Clearfield police arrested a 25-year-old man Wednesday who they say robbed three businesses in the last two weeks.

Nathaniel Lantz was arrested around noon shortly after robbing McDonald’s on Main Street in Clearfield.

Police say Lantz was responsible for two other robberies in the Clearfield area — first, the Baskin Robbins, 435 S. State St. on May 30, and then Sunday at the Subway located at 564 Main St. Police say Lantz threatened cashiers at both locations with a knife until they gave him an undisclosed amount of cash.

More information on Wednesday’s robbery will be reported as soon as it becomes available.
