PROVO -- Ogden and Davis showed off their team depth in the BYU Autum Classic prep cross country races on Saturday morning.
And Ogden High coach Don Hall came away smiling.
The Tigers topped the Darts -- "who I consider the No. 1 team in the state, Hall said -- to win the girls race with an impressive performance.
Davis won the boys race in convincing fashion.
"I'm excitied to beat Davis," Hall said. "With six of seven runners back from last year, these kids are focused. We had a running camp this summer, and this group is focused on winning the state 4-A title."
Ogden tallied 31 points, followed by Davis with 51. The Tigers' Jamie Stokes ran in 19:10.8, edging teammate Avery Calton.
"Jamie ran a smart race," Hall said.
Davis' young standout Shea Martinez broke ahead early but the top runners reeled her in. Martinez finished fourth, with fellow Dart Meghan Hedquist fifth.
North Summit's Erica Birk was seventh, with Ogden youngsters Sarah Feeny ninth and Aubrey Barton 10th.
On the boys side, Davis tallied 29 points, with Pleasant Grove at 106. Ogden finished seventh, with Viewmont eighth.
Austin Neuner led the Darts, finishing behind medalist Dallin Taylor of Hunter. Joe White was fifth, with Preston Johnson seventh and Brad Nye ninth.
Viewmont's Layne McKenna was 10th, with Davis' Brayden Cromar 11th.
Davis and Ogden went 1-2 in the junior varsity girls race, while Davis swept the podium in the junior varsity boys race.
Not all the top teams in the state competed on Friday, Hall said, but they should all run in the Murray Invitational on Friday.
