Ogden physician treats world's elite players at Wimbledon

Top of Utah sports fans are in good hands.

So are the world's best men's tennis players.

Clay Sniteman, the only American physical therapist on the staff of the Association of Tennis Professionals, is currently treating the world's elite players at Wimbledon.

Sniteman, who is the owner and therapist for Sundance Physical Therapy in Ogden, has worked at Grand Slam events, Olympic Games and world championships. He is on staff at Weber State University and is a frequent lecturer on sports health.

This past week, Sniteman has been blogging about his experiences in England. His blog, Through My Lens, is available at blogs.standard.net and www.standard.net.

When he returns home and takes a breath, Sniteman will continue to blog on physical health issues as it relates to the recreational athlete.

Reader wonders

A caller wondered where the name for the Ragnar Relay Series originated. The eighth Ragnar Relay Wasatch Back drew more than 13,000 last weekend for its Top of Utah race.

The race draws its name from a marauding 9th century Norse king who fearlessly explored and conquered new lands.

Judging by this year's race, that free spirit lives on.
