ROY -- The Roy City CERT Council plans to fundraise for the CERT program with a hoedown March 12.
Roy High School will host the event for CERT, the Community Emergency Response Team, through which residents respond to local emergencies and disasters.
A fair and auction will be at 4 p.m. to promote community preparedness and for additional fundraising. There will also be a barbecue dinner starting at 5 p.m.
Once the fair, auction and dinner end at 7 p.m., attendees will have a chance to square dance for the next three hours.
Tickets for the dinner and dance cost $15 a person, and $5 for just the dancing.
