LAYTON -- The Tomo Therapy Cancer Treatment Center in the Davis Hospital and Medical Center was one of five organizations honored recently at the annual Davis Chamber of Commerce awards banquet.

About 500 people attended the event at the Davis Conference Center, said Jim Smith, Davis Chamber of Commerce president and CEO.

Davis Chamber names business awards finalists

KAYSVILLE -- A Bountiful hospital, a Layton-based business-consulting company and a south Davis printing company have been named 2010 finalists for business of the year honors by the Davis Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber officials recently announced the list of finalists for the 2010 business awards.

Lakeview Hospital, Logistics Specialties and Carr Printing are the three finalist for business of the year.

The winners in several categories will be announced at the annual Chamber Business Awards banquet Jan. 21 at the Davis Conference Center in Layton, said Jim Smith, chamber president and CEO.

Finalists named for Davis Chamber business awards

KAYSVILLE - The Davis Chamber of Commerce announced Tuesday the finalists of its annual Chamber Business Awards for 2010.

The winners in each category will be announced at the Annual Chamber Business Awards Banquet scheduled for Friday, Jan. 21, at the Davis Conference Center. The Davis Chamber is celebrating its 10th anniversary as a combined county-wide chamber. The theme of the evening is Celebrating a Legacy of Leadership.

Davis Chamber donates $13K to Amber Alert network

BOUNTIFUL -- The Davis Chamber of Commerce has donated more than $13,000 to the Utah Amber Alert program.

The Utah Attorney General's Office says the donation is the largest the state's Amber Alert program has ever received.

Utah's Amber Alert Plan is overseen by the Attorney General's Office but isn't supported by tax dollars.

The money was raised by the chamber's "Come As You Aren't Party" on October 16.

Previous donations have paid for training materials and training sessions for the media and law enforcement.
