FARMINGTON -- Based on the number of vehicles charged for parking, attendance at this year's four-day Davis County Fair may have reached 45,000 people.

That number is up from the estimated 42,000 people who attended last year's event.

Because admission to the fair is free -- a tradition not expected to change anytime soon because of the investment it would take to fence the Legacy Events Center grounds in Farmington -- there is no exact attendance count available.
