Johnnie Haizynn Montgomery who was born Saturday, August 28, 2010 has died. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Wednesday from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Clinton City Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at: www.lindquistmortuary.com.

A Pierce County sheriff's deputy and Graham firefighters work around the smoldering remains of a house near Fredrickson, Wash., on Sunday. A sheriff's spokesman says three bodies were were found in the home. The bodies are believed to be Josh Powell and his two young sons. The explosion occurred moments after a Child Protective Services worker brought the two boys to the home for a supervised visit.
