Pleasant View approves next phase of Fox Meadow

PLEASANT VIEW - Phase Two of the Fox Meadow subdivision was approved unanimously by council members, with Councilman Micheal Humphreys abstaining from the vote as he is the developer.

The subdivision is located at approximately 775 W. 2800 North.

Community Development Director Bruce Talbot said the approval will add five more lots to the original development.

Pleasant View approves Phase Two of subdivision

Phase Two of Pleasant Fields Subdivision was approved unanimously by council members. The subdivision is located at approximately 1375 W. 3100 North.

Community Development Director Bruce Talbot said originally Phase Two was approved by the planning commission, but never came forward to the city council to get final approval. Talbot said that was in 2007 at a time when nearly all development was disappearing.

Developer released from warranty

WEST POINT -- The city council unanimously released a subdivision developer from warranty.

The developer of Pheasant Creek Subdivision Phase 1 and 2 requested to be released from warranty in December 2012.

During the citizen comment at that meeting, an issue was raised by a resident, Leo Famuliner, explaining the repair on an irrigation pipe was not shown to the property owners. He requested the city take responsibility for the irrigation pipe for one year.

Bountiful council approves development on Main Street

BOUNTIFUL — A unique, mixed-use project for Main Street has been given the green light.

A mixed commercial/residential project at 305 N. Main St., involving a restaurant and development of approximately 12 housing units, was unanimously approved recently in two separate votes.

New developer takes on old Layton project

LAYTON -- A small subdivision project on the city’s east side has been approved, after a new developer has come in to finish a project first approved more than four years ago.

In action taken recently, the city council granted final plat approval for phase 2 of the Foothills at Cherry Lane, located at approximately 2000 East Cherry Lane.

PLEASANT VIEW - Council members approved a development agreement for Harris Hills Subdivision at approximately 1050 W. 4100 North.

Community Development Director Bruce Talbot said what was purposed was a smart idea that would describe the new configuration of the of the property.

Station Park's high-tech water feature nearly complete

FARMINGTON -- Workers are putting the finishing details on a world-class water feature at Station Park, even as the construction and retail openings continue at a fast pace at the $250 million project.

Craig Trottier, vice president of development for CenterCal, said completion of a $2.5 million water feature being designed by Lifescapes International, should be done in weeks and ready for a May unveiling. CenterCal is the project developer, and is one of only five retail development joint-venture partners of the California State Teachers Retirement System.

Syracuse council gives OK to trail landscaping plan

SYRACUSE -- City leaders have resolved a dispute over landscaping on a trail near the Trailside Park cluster subdivision on the city's south side.

The dispute, which dates back to 2006, centered on whether a developer or the city had the responsibility to install landscaping improvements along the trail component of the Michael Moyes Trailside Park adjacent to Trailside Park.
