4 dead after police respond to domestic incident

HAMPTON, Va. -- Four people are dead after a domestic complaint that led to an early-Wednesday confrontation between Hampton police and an armed man atop a burning home. A fatally injured woman had been found outside the home, and two bodies were discovered inside.

FARMINGTON — A 31-year-old man accused of hitting his wife with nunchakus told a judge the eight-week anger-management course he took was a waste of money.

Second District Judge John R. Morris then sentenced Andrew James Lukenbach on Monday to serve 90 days in Davis County Jail, allowing him work release and time out to go to therapy.

LAYTON — Police are investigating why a 22-year-old man failed to comply with police orders, which led to his being shot and admitted to a local hospital in critical condition.

The shooting occurred at Quail Ridge Mobile Home Park, 935 E. Highway 193, Layton, just east of Hill Air Force Base.

LAYTON -- Around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, a resident at the trailer park at 935 E. Hwy. 193 in Layton called police dispatch because they heard a woman screaming in a nearby trailer, Layton Police Lt. Garret Atkin says.

Hollywood shooting, fire leaves 2 dead, 3 injured

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. -- A shooting and fire Thursday afternoon at a house in East Hollywood left two people dead, including the suspected gunman, and three others seriously wounded.

Authorities said the incident was the result of domestic violence. The wounded, two women and a man, all in their 30s, were all shot in the upper torso. They were hospitalized in serious condition, but officials said all three are expected to survive. All were conscious and able to talk, police said.
