CLEARFIELD -- Officials have voiced their support to expand specific educational facilities in the area.
The Utah Legislature recently passed House Bill 4. It authorizes the issuance of bonds to expand and improve facilities at Weber State University's Davis Campus in Layton, as well as the Davis Applied Technology College building in Clearfield.
Clearfield's resolution states that these expansions would create economic benefits through the state's investment in education. It further states that this will attract more businesses due to the state's market-based and targeted education plans.
The city council this week gave its unanimous support for the bill.
