OREM, Utah — Utah Valley University officials say the school has marked new milestone — its largest-ever graduating class.
More than 4,400 students earned degrees at ceremonies on the school's Orem campus on Friday.
Of the graduates more than 2,400 earned bachelor's degrees. Just over 1,900 earned associates degrees and 25 earned master's degrees.
School officials say the graduates are from all 50 states and several U.S. territories. Sixty of the graduates were from foreign countries, although the majority — more than 3,300 — hailed from Utah.
Officials say the youngest graduate was 17 and the oldest was 72-years-old.
UVU is the former Utah Valley State College. The school became a four-year university in 2008.
