KAYSVILLE -- Dallin Abendroth, a Davis High School senior, has received a scholarship to travel to China for the summer.
Abendroth was awarded the National Security Language Initiative for Youth Scholarship for 2011.
The scholarship is funded through the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
Abendroth is one of 650 students across the nation to receive the award.
It will allow him to visit China this summer, learn the language and build a connection with the Chinese culture and people.
